Life is a ruthless war for survival and resources.

The weak die, the ordinary survive but only the extraordinary thrive.

We thrive because we become warriors.

The ordinary man is not a warrior.

The ordinary man is broken.

The ordinary man is defeated by the time he shuffles out of bed.

The ordinary man runs from his war and dreams of an escape.

Warriors don’t have dreams, we have missions.

Warriors don’t break.

Warriors wake up every morning ready to fight.

Warriors don’t run from anything.

My life would have crippled the ordinary man.

Instead I became unbreakable.

Instead I fought back.

Instead I became a warrior.

Instead I became extraordinary.

Defiance is the beating heart of the warrior.

Defiance is the soul of the soldier.

To become extraordinary you have to defy everything.

Defy every single thing that’s holding you back.

Defy ordinary. Defy laziness. Defy weakness.

Defy depression. Defy doubt. Defy failure.

Defy friends. Defy family. Defy society.

Defy nature. Defy fear. Defy death.

Defy everything that gets in the way of your greatness. 

Your dad beat you? Fuck him.

The kids teased you? Fuck them.

Your girlfriend dumped you? Fuck her.

Your life is too hard? Fuck that. 

Fight back. Get angry goddamn it. Define your life by your defiance.

Define your life by your refusal to lay down. Define your life by being a warrior.

Why? Because you don’t have a choice. You either play or get played. You other defy or you lay down and die.

Life doesn’t let you sit on the sidelines. There’s no pause button in the game of life.

To win you need to become defiant. More than a mindset, more than a technique, more than a strategy:

Defiant is what you are

You’re not like other people. Your friends, your family, your government – they want you to accept life the way it is. They want you to fall in line. They want you to be reasonable.

I say fuck being reasonable. All progress is made by the unreasonable man. All progress is made by men who defy their surroundings, who defy their critics. Who defy their world.

So, keep moving forward defiantly until your dying breath. From the womb to the tomb.
